Origins: From OEM to Disruptor
In 2016, at a small furniture factory in Huzhou, China, a product designer and factory manager recognized an industry paradox: chairs were either stylish but uncomfortable, or durable but clunky. After seeing their OEM work result in customer complaints, they decided to reinvent the chair.
